The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky (ESNKY) is an emergency shelter and housing work program with accommodations for men year-round, year round shower & laundry services for adults,  and winter cold shelter for adult men and women from November – March. In February 2022 they opened the doors to their new 10,000 SF, state-of-the-art facility with 68 beds, showers, laundry, cell phone charging stations, onsite medical clinic, Daytime Navigation and Engagement Center, and community partner rooms.

RCF Group was brought onto the project team to provide new furniture solutions for the administrative spaces and community partner rooms as well as seating and various ancillary products throughout the space. Challenged with a tight budget and the desire to provide the best quality solutions, RCF Group worked to balance the space needs with the need to continue to serve the community. RCF Group utilized their vast network of furniture manufacturers to find the best deals for ESNKY that provided functional and beautiful pieces of furniture with a lifetime warranty. Included in the final scope were daytime use tables, workstations, administrative private offices, conference rooms, mail room, lockers, breakroom furniture, and outdoor furniture.

The new facility enables the staff to work more efficiently and be more productive – ultimately allowing them to serve more people regardless of their physical, mental, or spiritual state of being.
