UC Health, Greater Cincinnati’s academic health system, and RCF Group have partnered on projects of various scope and size since 2018. As part of UC Health’s Clifton Campus Revitalization project announced in 2020, RCF Group again partnered with UC Health to help furnish their new Emergency Department. As Greater Cincinnati’s only Level I trauma center for adults, UC Medical Center provides specialty and subspecialty care for some of the most critically ill patients in the community. Not only will this new 41,000 square-foot addition improve capacity and patient flow at UC Medical Center, but the existing 35,000 square-foot emergency department will also renovated. The RCF Group team revitalized aesthetics within the new space through new furniture types, upholsteries, and finishes to lend a more sophisticated feel. Long term performance, warranty, durability, and cleanability of all furniture was of utmost importance to UC Health. RCF Group procured furniture for the entirety of the new Emergency Department building including the main lobby and waiting areas, all private and shared offices and workstations, team huddle rooms, conference rooms, nurse station seating and storage, on-call room furniture, inpatient bedrooms, outpatient exam rooms, emergency room discharge pods, and lactation rooms.
